If you are at the high school and need a morning pick-me-up, you can stop by the library and grab a coffee or a sweet treat. Tyler Killen’s business class has been running the new and improved Birdhouse Coffee Shop. Students split time between the classroom and the shop, learning the business side of things. The kids reinvent the menu each week, trying to find the just right drink for everyone to enjoy.

Espy Presents: Night at the Museum 🎨

Espy has tried for many years to have an art show outside, but the wind and rain were always difficult to work around. This year, they decided to move the event indoors to make sure the weather wouldn't be a factor. Parents and staff members seemed to enjoy the change, as everyone was able to have a wonderful evening exploring all the talent inside the school.

Girls Wrestling Celebrating State Championship Victory

The girls wrestling program began in the fall of 2018 and has made amazing strides toward becoming a state championship team. Last weekend, their goal was met as they were crowned the Class 2 State Champions. The victory was that much sweeter, as they fell just short last year. This year, they came back more motivated than ever to win state, and with a dominating performance in Columbia, they did just that 👏.

Nixa Mayor Jared Giddens recently visited Espy Elementary School, where he spoke with fourth graders who are learning about the various aspects of government. During his visit, he shared insights about his daily work life and answered some fun questions, including whether he enjoys Cool Ranch Doritos. It was an enjoyable experience for both the mayor and the students.
